Christmas vacations are of different lengths in different countries of the world. In the USA, the vacations last for anywhere between twenty days to a month. Similar is the case with the other European countries too. Christmas celebrations are almost for a month before Christmas and last for a good amount of time after it too. In the non US and non European countries, Christmas vacations are of varying lengths, varying from a day to a month. In Asian countries like India, Christmas is a state holiday even though only about 3% of the population comprises Christians. In other Asian countries like China, Korea, Malaysia etc. Christmas is a public holiday, although most of the population being non-Christian, actually works on that day.

Christmas is a day to have fun, rejoice and celebrate the life of the Lord. Big meals are normally cooked on this day, while the entire family is invited to join the feast. However, different families celebrate this day in different ways, if they have a family with children, they may want to stay at home and have a good time, but if it is just husband and wife they may want to go to a restaurant and enjoy the festive activities and surroundings. They also like it because some restaurants are the quietest place you will find during this time of the year, shops and malls are always full, so some people would go some place where there aren't that many people around.
Christmas is different for everybody, but everyone celebrates it for the same reason, as the day that Jesus Christ was born. |

Another great scene to behold at Christmas times is the scene of shops choc-a-bloc with customers. All the shops, big, small, tiny, are filled to the brim with customers buying everything from sweets for Christmas to gifts for the little ones. Shops offer great discounts during the currency of the festive season and the advertisements are a sight to behold, a great Christmas scene in itself. The regular neon lights give way to a great many smaller boards, each one advertising his own wares. The street is lit up in celebration and the sight is one to be remembered for a lifetime. The neon lights, for once, are advertising happiness.
Come Christmas and can one forget Santa and the little stockings? Christmas can never be complete without dear old Santa. The Santa Claus stories have been many a bed tales for children in and around Christmas and have given many a good dream to these kids. The sight of parents tip toeing into their children's bedrooms in the dead of the night to put in small little presents its a great Christmas scene to behold. It shows the love that they have for their kids and is amongst the best Christmas scenes you will ever see.
