Isn't Christmas a lovely time of the year? The beautiful colors shining from a mile away, the children's laughter echoing through the air, the smell of pumpkin spice filling the air as the stockings hang all nested on the fireplace above your old rocking chair. Those stockings are waiting for Christmas day to be filled with all kinds of small things.
What Do I Put In A Stocking?
Did you hang your children's stocking up but now you are not sure what to put in it? Usually stockings are just for display but if you have kids you should know to put something in it on Christmas Eve. You can find some good stocking stuffers in the Christmas aisle in a lot of department stores.
Some good things to put in your Childs Christmas stockings would be some candy, if your kid likes cars then you can put a little toy car in it, if your kid likes Barbie's you can fit a Barbie doll in it. Christmas stockings are not just limited to these things, there are other things that you can put in it, but it is you to decide what your child likes the most. When all else fells you can get a gift card from the toy store and put some money on it. This will make your child happy because he or she will be able to pick out whatever toy they want. That one little gift card that fit in the stocking can buy one big toy or a lot of different toys.

| Small children believe that it is Santa Clause or Father Christmas that delivers the gifts, but that is only if they have been well behaved throughout the year. But as these children grow up they will soon come to realize that it is their parents and other family members who buy the gifts and leave them there for them to open on Christmas day. Some children even leave out milk and cookies for Santa Clause on Christmas Eve, but then of course the parents have to wake up in the middle of the night to have a cookie or two and a sip of the milk so the children believe that Santa Clause was really there and enjoyed the snacks they left him! Santa Clause is believed to come down the chimney at night when everyone is sleeping and place the gifts where they belong, if the house has no chimney, mom and dad have to leave the door unlocked so that he can get in. |
